I thought I would quickly inform you of a couple of future events to wet your appetites.
1.On Sunday, I am using the opportunity of having some military paragliding instructors in camp to go as a tandem passenger to see if I can get some great shots of the himalayas. It will be cold, but my smaller Nikon D300 with the 10-20mm lens should be a good choice – I will let you judge when I put up the images!
2. About a week later, I have asked one of the 90 year old ex-Gurkhas (he served in Palestine, Libya, Iraq during the 2nd world war, then at partition joined the Indian Army and rose to Lieutenant – a cracking story, I have no doubt) to come to my garden as a subject for my camera club out here. It starts to get dark at about 5:30 in the evening, so a little off-camera flash should do the trick. Watch this space for the results in a couple of weeks’ time!
